Chris Foss. What can I say? One of the most recognisable science fiction book cover artists of the 1970s and for my money the best. This is ‘Guild Tug’ from 1975, one of his designs for Alejandro Jodorowsky’s unfilmed Dune.

Released in 1975 the ‘Datsun 126X’ was one of my favourite Matchbox cars. At some point in my childhood I smashed up my original one (of course), so I was very happy to find this one recently on eBay in great condition and with the original box.
