The ONLY reason I read Look and Learn magazine in the 1970s was for the Trigan Empire comic strip. I adored the retro-future hardware and the weird Roman Empire-esque settings. The strip ran from 1965 to 1982 and was drawn by many artists. This stunning example by Gerry Wood came from L&L March 24 1979. Much of the original art is still for sale (Gouache on board, 32cm x 41cm)
