I'm Martin, guitarist for All India Radio and Steve Kilbey/Martin Kennedy, sci-fi & Pink Floyd fan, artist and tragic archivist. Most of these images are scanned from sci-fi magazines and books I've been collecting for the last million years.
There is something warm and nostalgic about 8mm home movies; little moving cocoons of childhood memories, often taken during summer holidays, everyone laughing and happy.  Put them together with Battlestar Galactica and Cylons and you have scifi-geek-childhood-memory heaven. And it isn’t even my childhood in these shots! They are stills from an 8mm film of Universal studios in 1980. Thanks to Penelope Black for permission to use them.
